Open The paintings in the ‘Open’ series refer to the idea of ‘reopening’ that dominated throughout the pandemic. “When can we reopen and return to normal life?” was the question everyone wanted answered. These works use the Apple keyboard shortcut for ‘open’ (⌘ + O) as both a visual reference and a metaphor for freedom and the need to move forward.

Sisterhood To celebrate International Women’s Day, and the incredible women in my life and beyond, I created a series of paintings that reference the female symbol (♀). By repeating and overlapping this shape, these paintings look at ideas of unity, support and connection, while bright, high-contrast colours give them an energetic and optimistic vibe.

Vortices These paintings were created during one of Melbourne’s long lockdowns in 2020, when time and routine began to feel repetitive and slightly disorientating. The sense of being caught in a continuous loop and unable to move forward became palpable. When the city reopened again, QR codes had become part of the new visual and social landscape, a symbol of a changed world.
